Hello All, I am Proud to announce that Kansas is becoming a great place to grow raise Carnivorous Plant's . I have been growing these fine plants for almost 3 years now, and not looked back. These plant's can be rewarding if given the right condition's as well as be just as difficult . I would like to start off with how I became a fanatic of these plant's. In July of 2007 I basically was homeless, I lived in a 23½ft camping trailer, was living at Clinton Lake in Lawrence, Ks. After living there for a few months i had decided to pull the trailer to my Parent's and stay till i got back on my feet again. I started out in March of 2008 with a VFT (Venus Fly Trap) from a local nursery . After having the plant for a few hours I began to Google for plant information and as amazed at what I found. I found a great web page ( pitcherplants.proboards.com/index.cgi ) where I made many friends very quickly. It was only a month later on my 33rd birthday my Father bought my a Nepenthes Ventrata. It wasn't long before my collection grew to rarer and harder plants to grow. Today I happily live in a home and in December of last year (2009) I purchased a Greenhouse, and have continued my journey to create my own named Hybrid cross of any Cp (carnivorous plant). Thank You for Viewing my site and I hope you will return Thanks Daren
