This probably has nothing to do with this topic but here is what I have to say about this whole thing . This class has brought out things to me that I have not thought about or talked about in almost 25 years . Not only does this class make me very uncomfortable but it is also a very emotional feeling, an I do not like to have to bring these things back to the surface. But I will this time only because this powder keg needs some room to expand.
I am very sorry but after reading and watching these videos of this Milgram project, and at the end when they told the subjects that they were not even delivering any shock at all I was Pissed (profanity sorry ) . If this would have happened to me not only would I have been relieved to know that THE INDIVIDUAL AT THE RECEIVING END WAS OK I then would have become very angered to have just found out that they were not receiving these shocks at all. This is exactly why we as humans are so F'ed up always screwing with each others minds I as we call it “ In The name Of Science “.
This Is a very hard thing for me because I feel like this Shat happened to me as a child . Being thrown into a 6ft x 4ft room with locked door , no light fed when they want to feed you ,having to pick a corner of that room to use as a bath room. I felt at times that I was a Frickin puppy in a pound. Not ever knowing what was going to happen next was I going to get to eat or was I going to have to clean up my own waste in the corner. because they locked me in that dark ass room for two weeks .
I think that we as humans have no clue what we are doing and causing these people in the long term, and I find it somewhat funny how we as people seem to care more about how our pets feel then what a human being feels .
